Associations and Volunteer Experience

LJM Environmental Law & Consulting believes in quality service and recognizes the value of peer groups and volunteer organizations. Lisa engages with many volunteer boards, working groups and associations, all of which aim to foster new ideas and actions to support environmental sustainability.

  • Member and past chair of the Nova Scotia Round Table on Environment and Economy (NSTREE) (1992-1997)
  • Member of the NSTREE public consultation committee responsible for conducting public consultations and reporting on the draft Nova Scotia Environment Act (1994-1995)
  • Member of the advisory committee to the Canadian Council of Ministers of Environment (1997-99)
  • Chair of the Advisory Committee responsible for the mandatory review of the Nova Scotia Environment Act (2000-2001)
  • Chair of the Voluntary Planning Sector Committee on Environmental Quality and Stewardship (2002- 2005)
  • Member of the Board of Directors of the East Coast Environmental Law Association (2006- present)
  • Member of the Canadian Environmental Network Caucus on Environmental Planning and Assessment (2006-present)
  • Member of the Strategic Environmental Assessment Tidal Power Stakeholder Roundtable (2007-2008)
